Morwenna Sturley School of Performing Arts is dedicated to providing high-quality performing arts education for children from Pre-School to 18 years of age. We offer a wide range of classes including ISTD Ballet, Pointe, ISTD Tap, ISTD Modern, Jazz, Acrobatic Arts plus much more, across our branches in Rayleigh & Wickford. Our experienced instructors are passionate about nurturing creativity and talent in young performers.

Once we’ve found a suitable session, we’ll reserve your space and send you all the details you need—time, location, what to wear, and what to expect on the day.

What we Offer
At Morwenna Sturley School of Performing Arts (MSSPA), we offer a fun, supportive range of classes designed to help every student grow in confidence and skill. From energetic dance sessions to engaging drama and performance training, our classes focus on building strong technique while encouraging creativity, teamwork, and self-expression. We’re proud to teach ISTD syllabi and Acrobatic Arts, giving students high-quality, structured training alongside exciting opportunities to develop strength, flexibility, and performance skills—with the option to take exams for those who’d like to work towards recognised qualifications. Whether your child is brand new to performing arts or ready to take their next step, our experienced teachers make sure every student feels welcomed, challenged, and proud of their progress

ISTD Ballet - 2yrs +
(MSSPA) supports dancers from beginner level right through to vocational training. We build strong classical technique, posture, musicality, and confidence in a friendly, encouraging environment, with the option to take ISTD exams for those who wish. Students can also enjoy performance and competition opportunities throughout the year

ISTD Tap 2+
Upbeat, energetic, and perfect for building rhythm, coordination, and confidence. Students learn clear tap technique, timing, and musicality through fun routines and progressive skills, with options to work towards ISTD exams if they’d like. Throughout the year, dancers can also take part in performances and competitions, giving them exciting chances to showcase what they’ve learned.

ISTD Modern
A structured theatre dance technique (often seen in stage and musical theatre styles) that builds, Strong technique and body control. Flexibility, strength, and coordination. Musicality, rhythm, and performance quality.
Because it follows an ISTD syllabus, students can progress through set grades (and vocational levels for more advanced dancers), and they can choose to take exams to gain recognised qualifications as they move up.

Street Dance
An Upbeat, energetic, and all about building confidence, style, and performance skills. Classes focus on learning fun routines, developing coordination and musicality, and improving strength and stamina in a friendly, supportive environment. Whether students are brand new or already love to dance, Street is a great way to express personality—and there are performance and competition opportunities throughout the year to show off what they’ve learned.

Acro
Acrobatic Arts at Morwenna Sturley School of Performing Arts (MSSPA) is a fun, structured class that combines dance with acro skills such as balances, flexibility, strength, limbering, and tumbling. Students are taught safely with clear progressions, building strong technique and confidence at every level. It’s a brilliant option for dancers who love to challenge themselves, and there are opportunities throughout the year to showcase skills in performances and competitions.

Our Company Class at Morwenna Sturley School of Performing Arts (MSSPA) is for dedicated students who want to take their training to the next level. Dancers work on advanced technique, performance quality, and versatility across styles, while building discipline, confidence, and strong teamwork. This class also focuses on learning and polishing routines for competitions and showcases throughout the year, giving students exciting opportunities to perform regularly and grow as part of a committed company team.
